Teej Program at Shyama Shyam Dham

Teej is a Hindu Festival in which ladies take fast whole day (some do not even drink water throughout the day) and after Aarati and Lighting in temple at evening they break their fast. Women usually dress in red colour.
Women celebrate Teej for the well being of their spouse. Devi Parbati has said ''Pati parmeshworaya nama'' which literally means that ''pati, the husband, is God''. Here 'pati' means that of soul not of body. Thus the actual meaning is that the master of the soul is God. Those who know this secret do devotion of Lord Shiv this day. Devotees of Shree Radha Krishn also pray Lord Shiv asking for Divine Darsan and Love of Shree Krishn.

At Shyama Shyam Dham, hundreds of people (ladies and gents) gathered today to celebrate Teej. The program started from 1 p.m. and ended with lighting oil lamp in temple at 8:00 p.m. People danced, chanted bhajans, waved Aarati and offered fruits and flowers to Bhagwan Shiv.
In Bhakti Mandir, Shree Radha Krishn were also dressed in Red.
